    In my opinion Skype is the best. As we can use it for multiple purpose and very smoothly.

    Ok, seems that anyone is saying Skype and I agree. Skype is the best for many reasons, and it's useless to add more reasons. This thread is very long and needs no more replies.

    Just one more thing. I don't know how many times the other software is updated, but Skype developers work a lot with many updates during the months. You always find something new and it's a very solid piece of software.

    i have been long time using skype and yahoo and both have their different view of point.from my view skype is more comfortable then yahoo.Skype is more faster compare to yahoo.Now a days skype is more popular and more people used it.yahoo messenger chat is more bulky and slower.skype is more familiar to all so i prefer to use skype more.

    Definitely Skype. I remember back in the day when everyone used MSN and yahoo messenger. And now Skype integrated so you can login with your Live email!

    Skype has nothing to do with Yahoo or MSN messenger from the context that these were developed as this; plain messaging systems that were evolved trought the time, while Skype was created as VoIP with messaging capability.
