I am listed number one on yahoo for alot of my most important keywords but not even list top 50 on any of these keywords on google. Is this normal? Suggestions??
Yahoo is more focus on page design, and google is more focus on backlink. These mean that yahoo is focus on page optimization, and google focus on how popular your page is.
yahoo and google use different algorithms....I did a lot of link exchanges....when I deleted all these links...my pages shot up on google but dropped to oblivion in yahoo. I agree that yahoo pays a little more attention to on page optimization, h1 bold ect...
Yahoo is weird. I dont understand how they work too. Do you get a lot of traffic from Yahoo? My focus have been to Google simply because G controls a lot of traffic. I do rank well for some (little) keywords in G but nowhere near top 50 in Yahoo. Still dont understand why? Maybe different algo i guest.
how fun! In the last 200 referrals: 80 visit from yahoo, 43 from ask, 9 from Google, 1 from msn... A site I exchanged links with, is sending me more traffic than G.
Yah 95% of my organic traffic comes from Yahoo and MSN. Someone gave me a hint to change my website home page title, to be a little more descriptive (I tried it) and I have noticed that I am finally creeping up on google. I don't know if this is coincidence or not. Also my keywords are not that competitive becuase I really did no SEO and somehow ended up on the top of Yahoo.
I get up to 20% of my traffic from yahoo, kinda reflects various studies conducted into SE traffic shares
If you're long term, you should try to sneak into Google then. Yahoo and MSN will get smarter one day. just my .02
I'm not really sure how yahoo works since I'm focusing more on google for now. Google mainly focuses on backlinks and the site's popularity.
