I'm just curious to get some feedback on the announced launch of Yahoo's new Rich Ads in Search. The program has been rolled out with a few select brands, and will be launched to the general public in the near future. Here's my take on this - I'm a big fan of video in search results, but not so thrilled for the integration into PPC. I feel that this will result in more errant clicks, a higher cost to the advertiser, with no real conversion benefits. Yahoo SM says that the conversion rates jumped 25% on their trial clients, but those clients were Pedigree and eSurance, brands that already have some pretty good name recognition. I feel that this will help those established brands, but will hurt the little guy. What are your opinions?
