I've not seen any change in terms of page indexed nor links. I noticed a good improvement in ranking getting on top10 for very competitive keywords. But it could be due to my seo efforts of the last few months...
Yahoo is messed up, I have directories and sites that link to me rank higher for my keywords than my own site
Im noticing the same (within the industry Ive been monitoring anyway) My forum index page outranks my home page and has MUCH fewer inbounds... go figure.
Not good for me. For my most important phrase, I made #1 six months ago. I've just been sent to #3. For this one kw group anyway, SERPs are looking just like G. I'm wondering if Y! has implemented a 'link-age' thing. I know the one thing that the 2 above me have is that they've been online for 8 years, compared to my one. /*tom*/
I noticed no movement for the sites I monitor. I feel strange that my SERPs are stuck to +/- 2 positions for a month.
I believe that either they are only showing results in select markets or on select datacenters. I am showing increases for my keywords in the DigitalPoint Keyword Ranking Tool, but when I do an actual search my site is not listed in the corresponding position. Just a guess.
Hmilesjr...... same thing happen to me for a couple of my keywords but I changed the results to show 100 per page instead of 10 per page and my listings showed up. Though, the listings were not my homepage, it was some subpage of my site.
No, I don't think the 100 listings is the "updated" results because though my listings show up, the rankings are still F**ked. My homepage has over 1.4 million links to it and it is listed nowhere. Indexed pages were in the thousands and are now dropping daily. I think they have flat out banned thousands of websites. A couple of my subpages were showing up in the extended listings because they didn't find those pages through the tranditional crawl method. Meaning there is no link to those pages anywhere on my site. They indexed those pages because they are linked to on OTHER sites. Which leads me to believe that they have a hard time distinguishing what page belongs to what site if not found from a crawl on that site. I've seen the same thing with Google where they count links from your own pages in your backlinks, only if they found that page via another website. What kind of value they give those links, i don't know. This was unintentional on my part but I've now tested it 8 times and the same thing happens.
SERPs looking a lot better this morning on my end. The new rankings for my site are live now. Just hope it lasts.
Yahoo just loves one of my sites now. I rank front page on everyword if consequence. Actually both MSN and yahoo (and google) love the site. #1 across the board for "space bags" kicks butt top 10 across the board for "as seen on tv" is sweet as well I need to install DP's yahoo/MSN keyword tracker to see how good the news really is, though. Time to sell it! LOL
Well that was nice - for about a day. C'mon Yahoo! get your act together. Anyone else seen a drop in SERPs today?
heh N/A for me too. this really sucks. it has to be our coop rotational links. not on our sites but any site that had a large amount of rotational inbound links. my main site that i pointed all of my coop weight to is my only site affected. the rest of my sites are still doing great. i think that the people pointing weight at their sites that were not affected were those that did not point much weight. I think that pointing anything over like 8-15k of coop weight got flagged with their new system and we got filtered or banned. I read that you can be banned by yahoo and still indexed by them. Sucks only think we can do is wait it out. Hope it gets fixed soon.
