Yahoo to offer unlimited email storage - will you switch?

Yahoo will offer FREE unlimited email storage from this Spring. Do you think you are going to switch because of this?

I don’t even use 10% - 15% of my quota. How much do you use? Do you choose email provider based on how much storage they offer?

Already out India based email service

www.rediffmail.com (www.rediff.com) has offered unlimited storage capacity

I use that since it is one of the fastest email service in the world and it definitely better than Yahoo!

I haven't checked my gmail account in months. So I obviously won't bother switching.

    Email is so 1999

That's why its really a faulty promise. Who is going to use "unlimited" space? Nobody. Yahoo's addresses are the worst spammed email addresses out there, its miserable. Yahoo should really offer spam protection that doesn't totally suck. That's a better add-on service.

I think emails are nowdays outdated I store all my files in my webserver only and not in my mail

According to me Email is only for receiving and sending mails so the space won't bother

Its only about the speed and service

Nah, i'll stay right where I am with the "g". I kinda like the "Docs and spreadsheets" for storing things online. especially if I'm on campus and caught without a thumb drive.

I would still stick on Gmail... Yahoo has a lot of spams coming in than gmail, so maybe i guess Yahoo offers bigger and better email storage.

    Indeed,

Plus Yahoo is packed full of clustering stuff, loading times are crap.

Sadly true. I have a Yahoo email address that I just use for a few meaningless things. Each time I open it there is a ton of spam. Mercifully, Yahoo has already dumped them into the "Bulk" folder, not my inbox.
