Smelling something? This is a buisness strategy deployed by top companies. They will try to downgrade their competitors before they enter the field. So Y! is defentiely going to be in the PPC market.

I think it would be good for all if Yahoo starts, but Goolge, as all can see, is very demoralizing to its possible competitors.

At the moment it looks like that there's new ammuntion in the canon of Google. I realized whenever google comes up with major new features strange things happen days before.

Not that was expected, at least its clearer now. Overture getting redirected to
    http://searchmarketing.yahoo.com/?mkt=us

http://www.cnn.com/WORLD/ has sponsored links from Yahoo

Was this program policy just taken over from Overture as it shows now, or is there a change?
Its my first time to see this. I never seen yahoo ads on cnn either.

    Yahoo! owns Overture.

They're just changing the names of their programs.

They probably will, but not soon.

MS likes to watch other people fail or succeed before they trample them.

Doubtful... They should worry about getting MSN up to par with everyone else first. Microsoft always seems to leave out the last 10% of anything they do. If they would pay attention to the little details they would be better off IMO.

They remembered to include the blue screen of death with my new computer...

I would guess that M$ is at least 12-18 months away from anything similar to what G has....and Y! is about 1-3 months away...but thats my prediction :)

Lets just hope they run a clean ship unlike Adsense is at the present time. Thier revenues at times seem to be picked from a hat and they dont like competition..

I don't know about campaigning against Google, but Yahoo certainly seems to like to rip Google off:

but i think they have seen a lot of Google's Success
so its time for them to start something of that kind
and even the small webmasters who are not very happy with adsense, would like to join in yahoo publisher network.

    but we need it soon

I'm really curious to see what they can come up with. I'm very happy with adsense, but it will be exciting to see something new and give it a run.
