We are working on Delicious from the last few years. This deal surely change some trends in SEO because the new owner of Delicious must update his site algoritham. Like recently effect is we saw that popurls is not now taking Delicious links in the ranking.

It's just a rumor for now. It would be good if they can sell it, as opposed to just closing it down.

Delicious isn't worth jack in my opinion. It is not that helpful and I fail to see how it can really be that profitable. You seen one bookmarking site you seen them all. Delicious is the same as the rest, nothing special.

Got to agree with you there, though they were one of the top bookmark sites before Yahoo bought them over. :(

I think it's a rumor. I could be wrong though. If they did sell it maybe the new owner will fix it, make links dofollow and people will use it again. Delicious sucks. I haven't even went to there site in years. Waste of time.

I don't understand. Do you mean they asked 5 million $ and got 18 million $ for it.
Or did they own it, sold it for 5 million $ and bought it back now for 18 million $ ?

If yahoo really did that, they must really be in a struggle to put delicious down.. Delicious isn't as great as what it is before.. Although I still visit the site and see some changes, nothing really in particular would be remarkable with it.

I think that this is a great news :) It's better to sell it instead of shutting it down :) Delicious is cool :)
