I was just reading some old thread mentioning Y! sitemaps. I just launched a new site that generates google sitemaps, so Yahoo sitemaps will be not that difficult to add, but my question to you Y! lovers is: is it worth the effort? * has anyone seen any benefits from a Y! sitemap? * does it exists? I need to create an account to get more info and I don't want to at this time... * any information - any - will be appreciated
I haven't used Y! Site Map on many sites. Also, I haven't seen any significant increase in saturation after creating them for some of the sites. Take a look at http://submit.search.yahoo.com/free/request You can also provide the location of a text file containing a list of URLs, one URL per line, say urllist.txt. They also recognize compressed versions of the file, say urllist.gz.
Not really, but I submitted anyways. Yes, it exists. You need a Yahoo email address and it is free to create one. You might want to have a look at this thread, (http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=38715), where you might get some replies on sitemap. FFMG
