Yahoo sitemaps - is it worth it?

I have no success with Yahoo SERPs at all and I am wondering whether I should use their site explorer tool?

Does anyone know a sitemap generator for Yahoo that produces the urllist.txt file - I know they accept xml/rss but have heard of people losing their index in Yahoo with this newer method!

Did you check if your site is banned? Also there is a news that Google, MSN and Yahoo will have only one standard on Sitemaps. So it means having a Sitemap is a must. ;)

sitemap wont help your SERPs, Sitemap is like a SE's toy and not actually an option, SE's can still crawl witout a sitemap, Good numbers of quality links will give lots of benefuts that can improved your serp's.

IMO though sitemap won’t help in SERP but it helps spiders to crawl the site deeper.
You don’t always have a backlink to a page so using sitemap such pages can get crawled.

You can use http://xml-sitemaps.com for generating yahoo urllist.txt

If you have not submited sitemap.xml for google then do the same as nowadays yahoo and msn is also using the same.

Yeah, excellent too, I even bought their XML-Sitemaps, unlimited crawl version. I wish they had an affiliate program.

I used xml-sitemaps for one year and it was fine but, after rewriting my site a couple of month ago, I found www.sitemapdoc.com . It did help me find some bad links, was more useful and free... No back link required in the html sitemap. They both give you the yahoo urllist.txt.

I also used sitemapdoc for my new site and it was indexed and showing up in G and Y first pages between a week time after submission.
