Yahoo Site Explorer Authentication

For the past week or so I tried to submit my sitemap to yahoo site explorer and I seem to be unsuccessful at getting it authenticated.

Here is the error that I get:

Failed to authenticate your site ownership due to the following reasons: The hostname could not be DNS resolved. Please check your site's DNS setup.

My sitemap is perfectly accepted in Google and has no problems with DNS/Hostname issues.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

what kind of hosting? more info would be nice to answer.

    1. did u use the meta tag or verification file method?
    2. what kind of BIND/DNS system you use if your IIS/HTTPD is self-configured
    3. have you ever flush dns in ipconfig?

so on so on.. i am not an expert, but yahoo site explorer authentication is verified instantly.

I also can't get the meta tag to work with Yahoo... have tried many times on my Blogger account! Must be some kind of bug as I did the same with the MSN meta tag this morning and it worked fine.

Without authenticating, you can still study a few areas of your sites anyway.:D
