Yahoo site directory - any good?

    Many SEO experts say that you should pay to be listed in the Yahoo directory.

    They state that this helps your search engine rankings. But does anybody have any real world experience of this? Did you experience better rankings after submitting to the Yahoo directory?

    tbh not as influential as perhaps it once was. In my mind (and this is my own personal viewpoint) not worth the price

    I don't any personal experience of it but I would tend to agree. There are plenty of other techniques that you can use that don't cost for the $300 or what ever the price is.

    It helps your ranking in Yahoo. Yahoo search engine gives more priority to those listed in their directory.

    Yahoo directory is paid service so i don't think to submit your site to this directory there are so many other SEO technices we can use to get better ranking in search engines.

    Just like DMOZ I think you don't have to spend money just to get a link don't rely on it.There are many quality directory same yahoo and DMOZ directory.
