Yahoo shows last indexed date of 1970/01/01

I did a thorough search and couldn't really find anything specific related to this topic. A few of the pages are coming back as last indexed 1970/01/01 in the yahoo site explorer. They've been that way for a few weeks while others are updated.

The pages do appear in the SERPs, but I am wondering if this is something to be concerned with? A valid sitemap is posted and the site is authenticated with yahoo.

    Thanks

Wow! If that were the case with Google, your pagerank might be way up there. Talk about a trusted source!

Come to think of it you're right! It seems that it's happened to others starting around November when they must have changed something.

Beats me as ours is now reflecting the correct date. I think it was just a temporary hicuup, the bot hit the site over the last few days and it's now reflecting the correct dates.

I already asked Yahoo! reps (at the sitesearch feedback area) and they said when a page does not exist anymore in their database and all they have for it is the URL, then it shows the date like that (1970/1/1).
