Its been a while I submitted my back links and I can see some of them on google and I cant find them on google anyone have an answer why this is so?
Generally Yahoo's information is more accurate, and you should work with that. Google just don't show everything. Are you using SEOQuake? The toolbar will show you side by side data from Google and Yahoo, and you'll see the discrepancies. Quite a conundrum, Google being the surfer's favourite, and Yahoo catering for the SEO person...hahahah
So I shouldn't be worried about the next PR update coming soon I used tools in this thread to check and I found more backlinks and their PR's http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=777446 I use SEO book tools for Firefox its a really good one
HomeRun... I am glad you found my thread about checking your backlinks.... congrats on the 2000! That's way impressive. What kind of numbers did some of the tool you used show? About 2000 also? Also, congrats to Xace for 4000 backlinks... very impressive!
Another thing you might want to take note TS, have you done a check on the Google webmaster tool? Google webmaster tool shows me 2000+ but the link:url shows me 0. So I guess google really takes a long time to update. You might want to check it out. Thanks Breakaway11 !
yah... link:urlhere.com is just a sample..... i wish so many new webmasters didn't get caught up on using that, thinking that their efforts are failing because they see "0" or another small amount.
Google is a little more selective it seems... I think Yahoo shows nofollow links as well. This is a common thing, I wouldn't worry about it. Google always shows less than Yahoo.
yahoo always shows more but it barely brings me traffic... Google shows less but brings me huge traffic...
but the data which some 3rd party tool gives might be wrong too.. use google webmasters to check how many backlinks you have. my G webmasters say i have over 2500 backlinks where smartpagerank tool gives it to be way less..
Yahoo has me at about 1600 & google had me down with 37. It's always been like that though. Does that mean those those links that are recognized by google (enough to show them in these results) are more valuable to me?
Hey guys; Its true the yahoo is accurate and faster the google.... But one fact is that... Yahoo also counts the NOFOLLOW links... which do not count/contribute to your PR in Google
