I've been told I'm wrong, but my bikini pics site ranked much better (page 1 on a great keyword) with these items...

    1)Old domain name.
2)No hidden info on domain registration.
    3)Privacy Policy
4)ICRA compliance/labeling. (Free, only requires a special meta tag).
5)Domain registration paid for multiple years.

I think Y likes to build "trust" with websites. I also think that the items above are "usually" not on spammy sites.

I was wondering myself a couple of months ago, as to why most well ranking websites in Google were not ranking well at all in Yahoo. These are the items I discovered that alot of top Yahoo rankers had. However, 1st page on Yahoo only delivers about 70% of 1st page on Google for the same term. (In my particular niche). I understand that average Yahoo user is a 30 something female, so...

Aside from the things that Budhanes said, you can always buy a Yahoo directory listing. I've found them to work wonderfully.

I wish somebody would just try me advice (free) and report back! I'm telling you, it will work for Yahoo. It costs nothing,(domain registration, oh well, $10) and usually, if you have a quality site, you should have/do these items anyways. Its all about "trust" with Yahoo!

Do a search on a keyword in Google, find the top 10 sites, compare them to my list above, than, do the same for yahoo. You'll see, these items are important to Yahoo.
