Yahoo SERPS

Friends,

I need some advice on Yahoo SERP ranking, my site is showing up on 25th rank
on yahoo SERP for my one of targeted keywords. I am wondering how can i get higher ranking in Yahoo SERP , getting #1-5 is bit tougher , i would be happy to
see atleast in top 10.


I would appreciate any suggestion/advice ?

Try linking internally from every page for keywords that are important to your rankings from every page back to your homepage. Also just keep adding links. Yahoo seems to love IBLs and updated content. One important key is to also make sure you have different meta descriptions for every page. This may be old news but its what I can contribute.

Just for curosity i went and checked your site is not listed in yahoo.I would suggest try running your own blogs and post some linke pointing to your site.

if you look for my site it is listed on yahoo, i was able to get my site listed on yahoo within 48 hours, but i am unable to get higher ranking in SERP.

 

according to my observations fresh content is very important for yahoo. also adding rss feed helps to attract deep crawling bot.

 

Use keywords in your links, use keywords in your title, metatags and description.

I rank great for yahoo, not in the top 10 but nearly.. for instance the term business idea I rank about 52 (varies per country) out of 61,200,000. Yahoo rocks!

 

The best way to attract the slurp is to have a slurpee.

 

My Yahoo SERPs are bad too, you can say they are non-existant. I thought MSN and Yahoo think alike? On MSN I have great rankings, 1st and 4th for two of my main keywords, and Yahoo no where to be found for the competative keywords. For me Yahoo is like Google right now

 

My new site shows well in both Yahoo and MSN. No complaints about them. But Google is a different story.

Cloning your site in Yahoo, seems to be a very bad idea now.

If your a competitor I could do that but you may have your lawyers all over me with lawsuits.

 

Make sure that you have the keyword phrase(s) your optimizing for in the anchor text of links pointing to your site.

 

For Yahoo SERP, on page optimization is very important. Try to put concentrate on keyword prominence and keyword density, it will helps.
I would recommend use this tool http://www.keyworddensity.com/ to compare your site and top 10 websites in yahoo.
