Our site has been gradually moving up in the SERPs for many keywords, with at least 20 on page 1, another 20 on page 2, etc. Then we paid the $299 to submit the site to the Yahoo Directory, and the very day that it was accepted, our Yahoo SERPS dropped drastically (like from position 7-8 to position 90-99) or in the case of some keywords dropped out completely. I find it hard to believe that this is a coincidence but even harder to believe that Yahoo would penalize us for being in their own directory. It's been two weeks now and I keep watching, hoping it will recover, but instead more keywords just keep nose diving. Has anyone else experienced this?
