    Yahoo SEO
Well Google used to love me, sending thousands of visitors per month, but recently that has dwindled as they somehow show 0 backlinks for me.

So I am stopping my ad campaigns on Google and starting to look at Yahoo, the second largest organic source for my website.

What are the tricks to getting up in Yahoo?

Yahoo is a disorganized puzzle, its like if u took 10 puzzle boxes and mixed them into 1. This way they save space :D but find out they are beyond stupid.

But yeah its just a complete mess, change aim and work on MSN which is also very good and not as stupid 0o (they only put 5 puzzle boxs together)

That is why you have to come up with a strategy for each of the search engines and then implement them all at the same time. The same strategy doesn't work for all three.

Search engines only show you a sample of the backlinks they find. Google traditionally shows a much smaller snapshot than Yahoo. Yahoo also lists all internal pages within your own website. I think part of the reasoning behind this is that search engines don't want to help seo's too much. If they were to show every link that they count, it would be much easier for seo's to beat the system.

I disagree with Dreads comment about Yahoo being a mess and you should focus your aim on msn. Obviously he just hasn't figured out how to get Yahoo rankings. Yahoo is a great source for quality traffic. You just have to get enough incoming links from quality websites. Link anchor text is fairly important too.

It looks like yahoo cares more about quantity than quality of links

yahoo cares about cleaningness... it also has it's own scale of site quality so when the link on the site leads to your one yahoo notices it as everybody here said yahoo cares about every single backlink... so having the respected site no matter main page or internal page everything gives it's power to your site at the end of the day... just clean everything and set link from your niche and you will rank high :)

Google never shows all the backlinks to a site (but it sees them all). I notice that Yahoo varies day by day as well but never to the same extent as Google.

This is why yahoo Site Explorer is more valuable for evaluating backlinks

I think yahoo track each single link which includes our site address that's why we see so many back links in yahoo data base for our sites .

Yes, as vansterdam pointed out. If you have a site on fish, a backlink from a site on fish referring to your site with fish in the anchor text would help in many ways. If the linking site has high weightage, all the better.

Keyword density is the main factor, focus on meta description and title. Also add the links of internal pages of your website in the footer of the page.

I would say, stick to conventional methods of enhancing SEO and you will do well in google. squiddo lens, wiki entries, yahoo answers, dofollow dirs, etc and you will see progress within yahoo quicker than google as I am "29" in google but "100+" for msn/google on Drink-Recipe.US
