It's not a big problem to rank in Yahoo at all. We get 13% of visitors from Yahoo. We have several #1 spots with no SEO. We always make quite some (related) internal links though.

If you rank well in Google you may do well with Yahoo as well. They use similar methods to rank. SO try optimizing for Google.

I've always thought ranking in Yahoo was far easier than ranking in Google. But it all depends on the type of site. Here's my reasons:

    1. Yahoo counts backlinks differently. It seems far easier to get backlinks for Yahoo.

    2. Yahoo indexes more pages, or rather, is less apt to drop pages already indexed.

    3. Yahoo doesn't have a "supplemental cache", at least not that I know of.

And as others have already said, with a good internal linking structure you can rank very well in Yahoo.

Don't discount Yahoo! Getting highly ranked can make your business.. Even when you don't rank in Google.

    Hi,
Yahoo really like backlinks and internallinks, Therefor with quality content (That will get you quality backlinks) you should be fine - More pages (Extra intlinks) will help as well.

Yet, You still need to use the normal promotion ways to get Yahoo onto your place.

    Cheers :)
