I signed up for Yahoo Search Submit Basic about 2 and a half weeks ago. It is supposed to give me stats on what keywords I rank for and clicks. Supposedly, you pay $49 and it gets you submitted to the search engine and you're supposed to see information in 4 business days. Well, so far, all I can see is "submitted" as my status. I can't see any info on search terms, positioning, or clicks. When I tried to contact Yahoo, as usual, I've heard nothing back. I've found so far that their customer service is about as bad as it gets, so I thought I'd ask some of you what your experience has been with the Search Submit Basic? I know that the Pro version lets you pay per click. I don't want to do that yet until I see something useful come out of the $49 that i've already spent. Any thoughts?
It will show up stats, but they are still not as accurate as tracking software. I am not sure why you want to get keyword stats from the tool. What you get for the 49 dollars is a year of them constantly crawling a domain of your choice.
ohh!! it sounds so sad that a big company like yahoo, not able to provide an authentic customer care service
This is unlike Yahoo, there customer services is normally better than this. Have you tried ringing them?
Seriously? I've had such a BAD experience with them on several occasions. I was trying to find out pricing for their banner ads one time and I would call and stay on hold for about 10 minutes before they transfered me to a voicemail! I even left a message and after not hearing anything for weeks, I tried again and again and finally got someone. Anyone in particular that you talk to there?
After searching around awhile, i found their number: http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/ysm/ts/contact/contact-01.html This is only if you're looking for Search Marketing-related stuff. I definitely called a few other Yahoo numbers and wasted a lot of time before I finally came across this one. I would enter in about 5 different selections only to get a menu that said "please go online for this inquiry - thank you" and then hung up. Finally with this number, I got through. Oh, and as far as whether or not Search Submit is useful - so far - NO.
