yahoo shows my website on first page but ver low or zero traffic
while Google shows it on second and third but still max traffic bursts

why does yahoo fetch so less traffic and why does type in domain work less with Google ?

Because Yahoo has less traffic than Google.

Here is Nielsen Data for Jan 2010 showing total visits (not unique):

    Google: 8169550654
    Bing: 5669443547
    Yahoo: 4154504780

Google is almost double Yahoo in visitors...

Yahoo is popular in some certain country such as Japan but overall are much less traffics than Google. It is also depends on your niche since each search engine has its own popular niche, searches by regular visitors in different niche from different geography location.

Ex. Google has been searches for more generic and wild terms while Yahoo has been searches for more specific technical term in Japan.

It depends on your type of searches as mentioned above, I have a health site on Google and Yahoo P1 for the same term and google gets about x20 times more traffic but the same for an automotive site and google is only x5 as much so I think it depends on your niche and specific search term

Just seek for traffic increase instead of preferring any search engine. Another point is there are many sites which is powered by google. Even that search will consider as google traffic.
