Does anyone know when the next version of YSM is due to come out? Adwords is so much a better product in every possible way. YSM is so out of date and primitive now.
I am sure I heard some where they are going to release a new version soon, does anyone know about this?

Very primitive, i agree. new version's been released but only for selected advertisers. Everyone else at the beginning of 2007. I'm looking forward to changes in the interface, but I also dread them tightening up on their editorial approval (like AdWords does now). I like YSM because a lot of ads get approved that probably shouldn't get approved.

On the other hand, they also reject a lot of perfectly good ads.

I have it. It is better than what it was, but by no means perfect. And Adsense's interface may be better, but it does not make it a better product by any means.

Hmm that sounds disapointing. Is the minimum bid still 10c?
I live in New Zealand and the closest I can target currently is Australia with Yahoo.
With Adwords I can target the city I live in.
So does Yahoo have better targeting features?

Actually, let me amend my statement. It is VERY good - I especially like the bidding tool, which can show you: a) Total # of clicks avail for a particular keyword; b) the percentage of those clicks you are likely to receive with each particular.

Dont my statement in the earlier post fool you - it is a good program.

edit: min bid is still .10

Has anyone noticed a preformance difference when using the new version of Yahoo Search Marketing. Some of my campaigns seem to have increased volume. I haven't turned on content match, nor has my budget changed.
