Yahoo revives Babelfish translator

    It doesn't look a whole lot different to me but the old Alta Vista Babelfish Translator is back with a new look. Well, actually, it's a lot like the old look except now it has the Yahoo branding, favicon, and ads.

    was it ever gone? I don't use it that often but though I'd used it in the last month or so. I wish it had more languages though -- really could do with Romanian and other eastern european languages sometimes.

    Yes. That happened a couple of years ago, I think - they bought AltaVista, AllTheWeb, and a few others all at the same time as I recall.
