Yahoo question

Is it better to create as many links as possible. Or just create a few links from say article directories, and backlink to those articles with hundreds of links instead? Not talking about Google.

Better to create as many high quality links as possible, pointing to your own site content, as much as possible. Otherwise, by backlinking to your articles in article directories, while helping yourself a little for your article to gain exposure, you are helping the article directories much more to get higher page rank.

Yeah I agree, but I was thinking of some unrelated abandoned niches/articles I have at the article directories. Yahoo seems to like number of links (I think) and Google PR of the links (again I think). I'm considering building links to the article rather than the domain that way if I abandon the niche (again) at least I can salvage some of the link building, yeah it'll probably be unrelated links, but it seems unrelated links work to some degree. All I'd need to do is change the resource box to point to the new domain.

Creating backlinks can never harm you. If you are making more backlinks then atleast you will keep getting visitors through those links which is good at the end.

 

Having many links is good for a website, however having many QUALITY links is much better

 

IF you are creating backlinks via do follow blog comments so i think they are good.

 

Make as many links as possible, because that will act as a back link and it might also tempt users to lead to your website!

Yeah that's kinda my feeling about Yahoo, it's more to do with the number of links rather than the "PR quality".

You have different choices and it largely does depend on the type of link being created. I think profile links especially tend to lead to Google Dancing, so pointing those at other sites is smart (like your Hubpage profile, blog, etc)....most links are fine being directed straight to pages on your site.

 

i think better is social bookmarking and blog marketing for good traffic.

hi again it depends on the kind of keywords that you are targeting. It is not about getting relevant traffic but it is about competing the site that appears on first page.. so you have to follow ideal guide line to get first page ranking

 

If you are taking about yahoo ranking then it will more depend on on page. Also, to get more backlinks is a good one but to get a quality backlinks is much better.
