Yahoo Publishing is a ripoff

The estimated balance is outrageous compared to what I actually received..It was over $1000 and all they gave me for an available balance was $52!!! For over 2000 clicks that is such a ripoff!! I contacted them and asked them to show me the data of how they calculated my final total and all they said was we can't produce the data but "our software" decides which clicks are valid....They have no way of showing us how they generate the final totals so we don't know if they are ripping us off or not...

I hate to hear that. I'm getting very nervous. I am "supposed to" have a lot coming to me, but I won't know till Feb (December's Earnings). ... I'm wondering if YPN will tank the way (and as quickly as) Chitika did - I've heard lots of bad stuff about them lately.

Is it true that they only pay for US based clicks, or is it you just have to be based in the US to get an account?

My experience with Yahoo billing has not been good.

    But...

why oh why is your first post something negative.

Either you don't know what you're doing or you are using a throwaway account. No matter how you look at it, you have no credibility.

That's a bummer. I had quite the opposite experience. I had far less clicks and nearly double the revenue. Every click checked out for me and my check is in the mail. Truly sorry to hear of your story...

Was your 2000 clicks for November or December? December's income won't roll into your available balance until February...

I don't believe you were innocent in all of this, they've been paying me just fine.

Aah! The Uni-Poster strikes again! At least it's not another Adsense banning...

A few things occured to me - one is that a rep told me that the clicks are actually validated gradually, so that you will see your balance gradually increase in the in 45 days after the end of the month. Even though I was told that, my own experience is that I had a very low balance, and then all in one shot I suddenly had a check pending for a lot more. ... Like everyone else, you will probably have to wait till you have a check in hand before you can really know. I guess these are the pains of beta.

I guess I will just wait another month or so to see it changes...and no I wasn't a throw away account and nor was there any wrong doing...We'll see and sorry if I offended any of the Yahoo enthusiasts.
