No, I don't think Yahoo allows this type of website in YPN program.

 

Everyone knows that Yahoo does not like alot of international clicks. If you call them up and ask them what you should do to stop that, they will tell you that you need to install a script to not show the ads for out of country users. Most of these scripts can cost up to $500. Screw that!

I found this site called Ip2Nation.com awhile back and downloaded their ip database with all the countries. Ip2nation is down for some reason, but I still have a copy of the database! I have moved this database along with a PHP file and a README to my server, and you can download it if you would like. It is free since I found it free! I am 98% sure it works since I have tested it several times.

I wasn't able to get in to their Legal policy page, my browser came back with a 403 Forbidden error.

Is it because only existing publishers are allowed access to that page?

On a more serious note, it's sad that the level of discourse on DP is sinking so low. It's only about one thread in five now from where there is a valuable exchange of knowledge; the rest is just uninformed myspace-like posts. And the level of English is atrocious: seven grammatical errors in the one sentence post I have quoted from.

 

hmm.. a friend of mine, is non-us, and he/she got approved by YPN, but till today, he/she can't use the ads yet.

His a malaysian too, what he told me is that, he does have any US Tax ID, so he is stuck at the point where after publisher first login, they need to fill up some information. This is what i known, i hope to help him, but know little about the thing.

I applied to the YPN around 1 month ago and I haven't heard anything yet. I see in here different reports as to how long it should take, but this is kind of slow.
