    I have checked throughly and found Yaoo.com is still PR9 for both with www and non-www version. The most possible reason you saw PR3 is the old data of previous website has being displayed and not Yahoo itself.

    It could be that your browser still had the wrong information in it and was not refreshed. That will happen from time to time. It's always best to totally refresh your browser in cases like these.

    Yahoo india http://in.yahoo.com/ appears to be pr7. The ?p=us is most likely some other page not the main page, so it is lower. Take the ?p=us part off to see the main yahoo india page and rank.

    It won't be yahoo.com. It would have been your native country's yahoo. Actually, yahoo.com is PR9.
