I signed up for Yahoo some months ago with a $100 coupon. After I had used about $20 of the coupon, my credit card started getting charged about every third of fourth day for $5 each. Contacting customer service resulted in a couple of emails that did not explain to me why I was charged before the coupon was used. Can anyone explain this? Alison
I am not sure why that is. I do know that their standard is (or was) that if your balance drops below your 3 day average, you will be automatically charged your default deposit amount. Example: You have $50 in your account. You advertise $5 per day, or a three day average of $15 If your account drops below $15, (or, if you spend $35), you will be automatically charged. They do this to eliminate your advertisements going offline, but I found it as a hassle. In the future, you can contact them and ask for your account to be placed on the "pre-pay" payment plan, and you will get to add funds at your discretion. If you have any other questions, you can PM me and I will help you as best I can. I hope this clears something up!
Set your daily spending limit low...min amount in your account should be available for 3 days otherwise they will charge.
