Hi, This is my first thread. Its true that yahoo and bing had merged few days back. But the question from me is that i had from lots of people that they are going to provide Page Rank to like Google. Is it true if it is what will be the factors for the PR. Thanks in Advance.... Chamba Dalhousie
yahoo already does have page rank but they dont share it you can get to it with api but no one cares anway, some toolbars allow you to see it i think seo quake.... how else would htey evaluate links event though they dont do a very good job of it. Thats for the info i didnt hear of this and am going to look into it.
if its happen i think yahoo surely target their basic algorithm and give page rank on basis of on-page optimization.
Yes, you are right that yahoo and bing merged few days back. Yahoo is improving facilities like yahoo cache, yahoo verification and many more. But Page rank facility is not provided by yahoo.
It seems like even the Google itself forget to update its Page Rank. let's see if another Page Rank comes, how they will take the industry?
Google doesn't forget to update PR, it's update automatically behind the scene. And Matt Cutts said that it usually goes live every 3 months but not always.
I do know that Google update will be on its way someday ( it is not yet since last 5 months though) and this is why I have mentioned "seems like" like matt Cutts mentioned "usually".
I think there was an attempt by Yahoo to have something similar to "Google PR", but it didn't last long.
Here is a site that gives google page rank as well as your Yahoo and AlltheWeb links. Not as easy as seeing your google PR but at least it should give you some indication of where you might be. This site also lets you know which of the main directories you are listed in. http://www.checkpagerank.net/
I don't usually check my yahoo PR.. most likely rely on my google PR.. if yahoo and bing can really make something to make their search engine more accurate.. that would be superb.. thanks for the link relient28..
