Yahoo optimization

Hi,

I have very good knowlage about Google optimization, but when it comes to yahoo, it's really small.

Can someone give me some tips, links or whatever how to optimize site on Yahoo.

I'm readdy to go for Yahoo SEO too

 

Tons of back links, keyword stuffing, keywords in your URL.

but, again, yahoo is not puting me where I want like google does

there must be something I dont know

 

I agree with HomeComputerGames, yahoo require ton of link building to give you better ranking but in google if you have quality backlinks it will give you good ranking. Google cares for quality and yahoo quantity.

i have the same problem like you !!!!
good ranking in google and bad ranking in yahoo.
Carefull i make some changes onpage Keyword metatag and
content but nothing happens. I dont like to loose my good postion in
google.
I open a new Website my main keys in URL . 2-3 good Links onthe new website and im now in top 20 in Yahoo until i have a good postiion with linkbuilding for my other website too.

 

I stilll do not get it how to rank well in yahoo.. it is change rapidly.

 

Yahoo like more backlinks do not worry about quality or not, Google loves quality backlinks..

I think there is a way,Yahoo loves link comming from there network like Yahoo Buzz,mybloglog,delicious,yahoo 360.Use it and see results.

 

I have sites that are on page one of Yahoo without a single link .... and some sites even beating those with thousands of links. There are similar post somewhere stating the same experience.

So it;s not true that you need lots of links. Although I don't know exactly how the search engine function, but I can be very sure Yahoo looks at site structure and content more closely than links. If you have Firefox with SEO, see for yourself the results of any search term.

 

when you are optimizing your site for one search engine then it automatically optimize in other too. There is no particular way for each search engine

 

Build your social media presence using smm profiles, pages and tools and then market your site like crazy on the yahoo properties - after this get a ton of backlinks and focus on quantity, not quality as others have said

there are more tricks but keywords in URL and other tips are important and scratches the surface

 

I also dont like their results, you type for example Real Madrid (football club) and you get on first some sites who sells their shirts, but type it on google and you will get first official website etc.

Is it easier to get more links for yahoo or for google?

 

On yahoo its more easy to get index plus more links than Google but its really difficult to get indexed on MNS

 

Can't agree about the tons of backlinks. These are needed more for google. Yahoo pays lot more attention to the on-page SEO - keywords in URL(VERY IMPORTANT), titles and descr., content of course.

Some of my new sites, which have quite less links compared to the old ones rank on top of yahoo and bing, though not bad in google as well.

 

Yahoo only needs Backlinks if you have more Backlinks then you are the king there and for this no SEO is necessary.

 

Yeah yahoo is way easier than google, Im on the first page of yahoo for my keywords while on the 7th for google, its a bit annoying...

 

Yeah Correct! Google prefers and ranks pages which get High Quality Links but Yahoo prefers only and only High number of Links.

So, the more number of links point to your website, you will surely achieve top rankings.

 

I have a blog that rank well in yahoo even i do not optimize it neither doing a backlinks. I even did not post for almost 1 month. The only back links are those 2 unknown sites that give me free BL. I dont know their PR and because i am not interested to continue that blog. Yet to my surprise it still on the page 2 of yahoo. Its 12 actually with the keyword.
