Google recently started letting 3rd party sites advertise on the Google AdSense network; this is what you are seeing I believe.

I don't understand why Yahoo would spend the money on this though. Even if they are such a rich company, supporting the opposing company is never the answer >:p Maybe they really are desperate for new users. Or they just want to advertise their new email interface.

..or maybe they just wanted to say to google, 'Hey mate, I am rich. I got money to advertise on you." Then google replied, "thank you vey much. $$$$$$$$"

Yes obviously that the reason. But if it is that only reason, it showed that yhaoo is really desperate. Hurm, any pro-yahoo answer here? I myself would have to thank to yahoo because brought me some hundreds traffic everyday.
But google get me more than that.

Is this the end of Yahoo? Or have yahoo actually be a google friends?

What is the problem? Google has a massive advertising network and Yahoo! is using it. End of story

Back in 2006 to 2007 Yahoo mail was more popularly used.. you can check on this
source. I think the reason behind it was yahoo needs a boost up because
currently they were left behind by gmail.. No offense meant but that is what I can see..

I guess it is a marketing strategy if they want to know the enemy better they must have the link to their promos ads and everything its how business goes if you can't beat them then join them ....

It just tells you the power of Google's online advertising network and relevancy of ads. I have seen many websites displaying ads of their competitors using AdSense. Seems like a peril of not having full control over what is advertised in the AdSense block on your website. See an example here:

    http://www.roadtomarketing.com/either-use-your-sixth-sense-or-the-adsense.html

About Yahoo, they're just losers. Their new email interface fails to deliver what was promised. How could they not develop an email service like Gamil besides being in industry for so long, I wonder.
