In case you didn't know you can submit your blog for FREE to the Yahoo Directory. Apparently Yahoo has just opened this back up since it was paid only for the longest time. http://add.yahoo.com/fast/add?17051064

It's been open like that for at least a year now. If you submit a site using their free method it can take months to get listed though, whereas if you pay it gets included within a week or so.

Actually that's been up there since day one - they might as well remove the free option as sites that are submitted for free go straight into the circular file.

    I'm pretty sure it's always been $299.

As of the first of the year ALL sites will be Free, Yahoo is ding away with the $299.00. Up until lately it was only free for Non commercial sites.

Mose people say you should not promote articles that are on you site. I am not sure why it is that way but have heard it is because it devalues you site content with search engines. I hope someone will post a more detailed explanation of this.

Since I am already listed in yahoo via the free submission is there any benefit to submitting though the paid submission?
