Yahoo not using Meta or Title Tags

For the past few weeks all of my search results in Yahoo are showing up with no description and the keywords searched as the title as opposed to the title tag. It shows up fine in google. I noticed a few other people in the forums were seeing this as well but nobody seemed to know why. Anybody have any idea what could be causing this?
    Thanks

You are correct - he should check his site as Yahoo relies heavily on these factors.

    Guys,

I use squarespace for some of my CMS and hosting - they dont use the meta keyword tag - does this mean my sites yahoo ranking is likely to drop? I have noticed it drop from position 5 to 20 in the past few weeks?

It happen to me as well. I wrote my title with my main keyword in a nice sentence, but Yahoo seems to display only my main keyword in title in their search result.

I've heard somewhere they picked up from anchor text of links that are pointing to that page. That is why they display only my main keyword instead of my real title.

But this doesn't seem to be fair though, I wrote my Title in such an attractive way in order to be more interesting than my competitor, but Yahoo choose to display keyword only which it's not attractive at all.

This seems like it is also happen to my competitor's page as well cause I see a lot of listing displaying the same title which is main keyword.

Anybody know how to stop Yahoo picking title up by themself?

    hahahaha

that's the post of the day, without doubt!

What's funny is that although they are far less technically advanced than Google, Yahoo's results are often better, *because of that*!!!

Google's problem is known as 'gilding the lilly'
