I have a website that first went online in December of 2002. I had it online for about 4 years, then I took it down for a year. I put it back up at the beginning of September 2007. I changed the URLs on the website, but didn't change the content very much. After first discovering Yahoo site explorer, I realized that Yahoo still had OLD URLs in the index. I found and fixed a problem with my website (the Not Found page was not reporting 404 back to the search engines), and shortly afterward, Yahoo removed nearly all of my OLD URLs from their index. My rankings with Yahoo dropped like a rock. That was at least 2 months ago. The problem is, they still haven't put most of my NEW URLs in the index - the site has about 100 pages indexed in Google and MSN, and in Yahoo I only have 64 "pages". The main issue I have here is that most of these "pages" it found were search results pages from the site's search feature (the only way it can find these are by following my Google Pay-Per-Click ads) - there are only a couple of dozen pages in their index that are actually "content" pages. I thought that it was just a matter of time and they will be indexed. However, I recently added 3 new pages to the web site and they were indexed by Yahoo in a matter of a few days. The older pages still remain not indexed. While my rankings in Yahoo SERPs are reasonably good for a 3 month old site (at least that is probably how they see it), I feel that they could be much better if more of my pages were in the index, especially the ones that are laden with keywords. Anyway, the site I am referring to is www. shuttercontractor .com. If anyone can give me any suggestions on how to get more pages in the Yahoo index, I would appreciate it.
Well, I called Yahoo today to try to get this straightened out. It is kind of funny - Yahoo doesn't have a phone number for anyone who has a question about the natural search - you have to submit your inquiry through a form and hope someone gets it.
you can get your website link on a site which yahoo already index. if you do that, then yahoo will also begin to index your site best of luck
Wow, I bet this form is going to be busy after I post it. http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/search/webmaster/webmaster-01.html It is under "Search Support", but there is lots of other helpful stuff on this page, so I posted it instead.
Hi, Just try back links for site, rather the the home. means the pages wich are not indexed in Yahoo. and try to write your problem to Yhaoo Search Help center desk. And best of luck
