You can submit a site by following this link http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/news/forms/submitsource.html
Thanks hubel. But I was asking how to get noticed there just like on google. I mean by submitting to some other sites or something like that. I was not asking about how to submit a news site to yahoo..
Yahoo runs syndicated news. Look at the sources. Find a related topic and try and get a hold of the editor. It's like getting a local newspaper to interview you and include a link or contact information. Clearly it's not as simple as submitting a story to some feed source. Yahoo isn't exactly a user voting site like Digg. Surprisingly so many people overlook their local media.
If you submit a press release from prweb and other press release services, they usually automatically gets included on Yahoo News.
You need a triple digit ID as part of the URL for google news submission, I think it works the same way with Yahoo also. Here is the reference from Google themselves: http://www.ivanwalsh.com/google-tips/google-news-get-blog-indexed-tips/4063/
I guess most of the press release sites are cached by yahoo. However there is no exact link or page to submit it...
