Here are my figures: Until 3 months ago my organic visitor percentage was: Google 85% Yahoo 10% All other SE (Ask, altavista, etc) 5% As of today: Google 70% Yahoo 25% everybody else 5% Yahoo went from 30 to 300 visitors a day. What did I do? First: I understood that Yahoo is used as portal not as search engine so, it is normal to receive a lot less traffic from it Second: I stoped paying them US250 to be listed in their Bsuiness to business directory, it doesn't worth it Third: I started answering some questions at Yahoo answers (only the ones that fit my website content, or they will ban my account) Fourth: I moved part of my static pages to a content manager (drupal in my case),Search engines love them. Fifth: I created a blog and started blogging about my site content in a weekly basis. But, more important : Patience, lots and lots of patience, all changes must be done one at a time, and wait for results Just my two cents
I don't get much traffic from Yahoo. I wish I did. If I did get most of my traffic from Yahoo, then I'd be really concerned about MS's bid to purchase them. More than 90% comes from Google.
yahoo still accounts for 30% of our visitors Google is 45% we have higher serps in google than yahoo but yahoo is still bringing people in, depends on your terms I guess
i think yahoo counts the innternal site links and google count the backlink from other domain i dont know it is right or wrong but it's my guess
Because mostly people Use Google search to Search anything That's why Yahoo not generates more traffic As compared to Google,
i have averaged about 80% from all google properties so my focus is always on google. best quality out there i think
Yahoo give traffic, just not as many as google. The reason is more internet user are using google compare to yahoo
yahoo give me more traffic then google (only one site), yahoo 60% google 30%, the rest site, google win ...
Yahoo beat my forums like a redheaded stepchild until I was 'big enough' for Yahoo to list. Amusing as hell. After nearly bringing my site down with their busted crawler, a few months later I was getting a lot of traffic from them.
