You can't. You just have to make a new name, unless you CAN get in contact with the owner and buy it off him.

I don't think it's safe to buy IDs :p Why not create a variation of the domain and add numbers or letters to it.. like what most people would?

i dont think they expire, though you might try contacting yahoo, see if they DO expire, and if so, when will that one expire, considering no one logs in to it. Good Luck

It seems the id was made in 1997. Ids made then had easy passwords...maybe you can guess the password. No one would bother as its not owned by anyone now.

Why would you want to buy a yahoo id anyway? I bet you can't legally buy an id per yahoo terms and conditions. Get a domain and use it for email if its for branding purposes.

Well I advice to stick to one... changing id's make you harder to find, one knows you by some ID and another one by another ID.. witch may not be the actual ones even :D

i think that if someone does not login for 3months then the yahoo id is automatically disabled and after 6 months it is deleted.

The latter part is incorrect , they will disable your id but dont delete unless it violate their TOS .. My 2 ids got deleted by yahoo for spamming in Yahoo answers but do i give a damn , naah !

if they don't use the yahoo adress for 6 months i think it's automatically deleted, but i don't know for sure. Anyway i think the best way will be to make a variation of the id
