Gmail actually has a limit of ~7.5Gb at the current moment, it is climbing though but very slowly. Personally I prefer Gmail because of it's efficient spam filter, works great and rarely do I see authentic emails land in the junk folder and also rarely do I see spam in my Inbox. I also prefer Gmail because you have "filters" available to you, where you can decide what to do with particular emails that contain certain subjects or messages, for example, automatically delete them or move them to a particular folder, or forward them elsewhere, etc.
I will recommend Yahoo mail anytime to anybody looking for email services. Yahoo mail seem to be the best feature that Yahoo has got.
There was a time when I would have recommended yahoo, hands down. Lately, however, I'd have to reverse that. Their use of that obnoxious popup window to make them the 'home page' choice has been going on for weeks now, and there seems to be no way to get rid of it. It comes up mid-window every blasted time you come in and out of your mail account. Battering your clients is not a particularly good tactic for getting their loyalty. Additionally, recent contacts with tech support result in their answering just about anything except what you asked. You'd do better using that old toy, 'the all seeing 8 ball' that floated up generic answers to any questions you asked. Today, though, was the clincher. I clicked on a news link. I got about 15 seconds to read it before yahoo interjected an advertising screen via flashplayer that will not close, takes over the entire screen and obscures what you were reading, and requires you to dump the entire site to get out of it. All in all, Yahoo has really gone straight to hell since they unrolled their new mail system. Whoever is in charge of marketing was evidently schooled at the Adolf Hitler Sales and Service Academy. It's a shame, because they really had it together until this garbage started.
Wow, I hadn't realized how much Yahoo! mail had gone downhill re: pop-up ads...I have my mail synced with my phone, and I use that to get my Yahoo! messages. That, and I started a Gmail account two years ago--different accounts for different purposes, and I don't even go by the name I use for my Yahoo! account any more. I still check out Yahoo!'s front page, and I find the pop-up ads on that page annoying. My Yahoo! account actually started out as GeoCities account, from 1997. All in all, I have always despised the marketing tactic of constantly badgering your program's/website's users to automatically turn over your settings to that software/website. Algorithms are no substitute for human preferences and decision making. I'll decide how I want my computer set up, thank you.
I don't like yahoo and gmail service. They don't have best protection for mail. They have email leaks.
I use my yahoo account equivalent to a 'no' in comparison to Google Account and will never suggest that one must have a Yahoo a/c . Gmail is continuously working to better its services..
But when the mail was blocked by Yahoo Mail , we can not do any more . And when we met it of Hotmail , we can contact them and submit the infor , then , we can use that hotmail again .
