Hey everyone, I wonder if Yahoo makes money from publishers for ads that appear in their mail system that get clicks? Specifically the tall skyscrapper ad on the right side right beside your inbox list and messages. I acidentally click this ad like 3 - 5 times a week, probably more actually. Because they put a little button right beside it that you have to click to minimize the ad. This button is soooo close, practically on top of the ad, that I end up clicking the ad very often. I never look at it and always close whatever window it opened. And everytime you view a message that damn ad pops back up.. LOL which makes me in-turn close it again. I just think they need to move that button if they are charging advertisers for these clicks. I'm sure that I am not the only person to do this and it must be costing advertisers for non-productive clicks. What do you think? Do you ever click it accidentally? Curious, GG
LOL .. I am just wondering if other people do the same thing. And if so then maybe advertisers should write Yahoo and tell them to pull that ad placement or perhaps reposition the button right beside it.
they use in house ads and they tend to be cpm.some ads are yieldmanager (yahoo owns),like the 768 and those are cpm/cpa. i have a 8 year old yahoo email and not once have i clicked on an ad.
Same Here... i have never ever clicked on the ads that come to yahoo mail account... i some time try to ignore and not even see to that...
Clicked on some credit card report one by accident yesterday, if that was a PPC it was probably a decent value.
I never clicked on any ads from Yahoo mail before. I guess I am totaly ad blind when reading my emails
Doesn't matter, most of them are CPM, so clicking them accidentally won't do any harm to the advertiser's budget
