Is it true that YA only accepts .com and .net for links and does not accept .info now. I believe this happened lately since some time ago it was fine. Anyone having issues like this?

Actually It's not a true statement. Yahoo crawl almost any domain name like how Goolge and Bing do. But, everything depends on the quality of the content. however, any web page will be indexed (which are complaint with the standards set by yahoo).
I've never heard of this, but there seems to be a lot of strong recommendations against buying domains ending in .info -- I'm not sure whether there is any truth to this particular claim, however some people say that .info websites are much harder to rank than sites ending in .com, .net, etc.
