I like Yahoo as well. I think their search is way more relevant than Google. Much better for niche marketing too.

A good point to make. In all honesty, I would rather more people use yahoo. I have found that Yahoo users click on ads more than the Google ones do. As a webmaster, that is all I care about.

Although I rank quite high on both Yahoo and Google, Yahoo users buy more from me. (for the same amount of clicks)

I would have to agree on Yahoo being better for niche market's, in my experience, but as far as business related opp's, I feel Google is better... just really depends on the market you are in, I think.

How are you guys able to tell when a Yahoo user buys or clicks on something as opposed to a Google user. I have heard before that Yahoo converts better. I'm just curious how people can tell???

Check your server stats it tells you who sent that visitor to your site.

According to all the top web statistic providers (Alexa etc) Yahoo are the most popular, and therefore are not as bad as one might think.
I mean, I ALWAYS use Google, and couldn't see the need for Yahoo, but every now and then I find myself on Yahoo - it really isn't all that bad.

i agree on this, from volume point of view google is the best, from index coverage point of view msn is the best (i know something that you dont know :) ).

yahoo results are, at least, lets say strange, almost never found what i was looking for, in yahoo.

Well yeah, I can see who is sending me traffic but my question is: "How can you tell that the guy who bought something from your site came from Yahoo?"

evcro, that's weird. Yahoo must not be good at indexing in Romanian (or whatever language you guys speak). I always instantly find what I need here in the U.S.

I like yahoo as much as google.

I guess it depends what you search for as one might not give you the same results as another

I've always thought Yahoo is a top search engine that provides good search results. I've never had a problem.

I find that alot of my yahoo traffic will be from Canada, I have made quite a few sales VIA Yahoo and Bing, Some of my websites are on page one for High competition keywords on Bing and Yahoo but are nowhere to be found on the BIG G..

I Personally use Google to do all my searching, the results on yahoo are just not as good.
