Yahoo! is the best search engine

Well due to the hard competition, yahoo had to improve I think... but most of the people still use google more often and will use it for some time on.. until a miracle comes maybe.

 

I use only Google and if I am not able to get what I am searching for in Google, then I shift to Yahoo and MSN.

Though for some of my sites, Yahoo is the main search engine sending me traffic for many keywords.

 

Which is best that is not issue the main thing is which search engine give you more visitors. Google give me more than double visitor than Yahoo.

 

Google is much more user friendly when it comes to other languages, also I guess their "keep customers" approach is a tad better, nevertheless I agree that yahoo has gotten a lot better and did it awfully quick, they do, however, need to get the customers, as quality alone is not what makes ppl use a search engine.

 

its my second choice.. but yahoo is the first SE i know and its the most SE here in the philippines..

Yeah I do not care for Google trying to get people to turn in others for buying links. Since the biggest sites on the web sell them, this seems unfair
to the little guy. One thing you could do is just use the online snitch form to snitch on the HUGE sites that sell links. That will emphasize to them how ridiculous and hypocritical it all is. if I recall, about 2 years back a senior google employee was selling links on a page he had on google itself (or linked directly from google, I can't remeber) that was pr8.
It caused an uproar. And of course Yahoo sells directory listings. It is all so hypocritical and evil if you ask me.

 

Yeah.. what are Adwords than just selling links in some way. I mean the links don't link directly to the page but through google's mechanisms... but still, it's somewhat similar.

I like Yahoo! but I don't like its crawlers. They are slow and non-efficient. I see one page to be downloaded by 10 yahoo crawlers with different IPs. It is sucking the heck out of the server.

 

Yes, it definitely counts the backlinks. You can check backlinks from site explorer:

I don't use yahoo and don't consider it a useful search engines. I hope it will vanish in the near future.

The only reason people are using yahoo se is because it's a part of Yahoo portal; otherwise nobody will hear about it

The only thing they have is the useless big number of slurps which always come back with nothing!

Number 14 rank on keyword and get 4,000 Uniques a day ..... GOOGLE

and when i search for information i don't use search engine anymore...
i found a couple of very strusted directories where i can get almost all the information i need and my buddy WIKIPEDIA!!

I'd have to say, I like Google more. Google indexes things much quicker and doesn't send 1000 bots to sites to do it either. Yahoo is great and all, but they are definitely not superior.

 

Google > Yahoo anyday of the week.
