    We'll see about that..
All I can tell now is, i'm still ranked no 1 ( 3rd day).

Initial content was mambo installation pages. Then I change it by putting an under construction notice on the index file. Now since mambo is driving me crazy ( i want to do this very very fast, learning mambo takes time .. ) i have decided to go back to static.

We'll see if yahoo hates this. Will update in about 1-2 wks time

If this post confused you, it should have said "avoid all the things against Yahoo's policy guidlines"..

The domain did do the trick. Yahoo seems to love keyword filled domain names.

The day is finally over ..

Today I get rid of my index.html that says "site under construction" and upload my content. About 90 pages and in minutes I am no longer no 1. He .. he .. very funny yahoo.

When there's nothing but mambo initial content, I got no 1. When I change that to a single file that contain "under construction" I'm still no 1. When I create real quality content I am nowhere to be seen.

I expect this and not disappointed at all. Yahoo is crazy, and crazy search engine like yahoo just hates frequent changes...

Oh! well! life goes on..in a way it's good because I am no longer under intense pressure to create content. Like Arnold said "I'll be back .."

I believe in no time, MSN will come second after Google and Yahoo will be just another Ask Jeeves .. something that people will forget next year.

TIP: To rank well in yahoo, make sure your domain name has your keyword separated by dash (www.keyword1-keyword2.com) and create page that says "under construction". Never! ever create quality content ..hehehe..

You must have done something to trigger the drop or it took too long to get the content up. I would check to see if your site has all of it's pages indexed still.

Those could be one of the factors.

I did notice that the amount of page for my keyword to be very erratic .. one day it could be 9.3 million, others it could be 8.8 mil, sometime only 8.5 mil lately.

Do I lose no 1 ranking due to the adsense? ( like what some members claim).

Too many variables ...Ah! Like your sig, I think Yahoo sucketh anyway..

it is the same with one of my domains. It has just two simple pages and it ranks #1 for the domain name (with spaces instead of -)...

Yahoo is just having big problems ranking new websites plus a serious spam problem.

It does very well on some industries and lame on others. It's just that they haven't figured out a general algo that could benefit all the rest of us. Y! is a serious traffic beast though. With all factors set equal, I've seen my traffic literally double from the exact same keywords as compared to last year. they are definitely gaining market share.

But what is sure, it's that there is a new search algo on the way, probably after the launch of the Y! site explorer. Stop whining and get ready :p

I meant and I beleive it was apparent:
the domain has hyphens and I am using spaces instead of them when entering the search phrase...

    is my English that bad?

Nothing to do with the english. The only ones to blame is the pounds of flesh between the chair and the screen :p
