Has anyone seen their traffic drop on Yahoo ? I am seeing now less than 15%, it used to be 30% last year. Google is growing every month.

Must be your site. Am still getting about 40% SE traffic from Yahoo right now.

Different sites - different SEOs - Different SERPs.

Whelp, you must get used to those droppings. It's a normal routine. Some good and bad days. Don't worry, I'm sure you're not alone.

    Good luck

My hits from Yahoo! have plummeted over the past few weeks, since my rankings for EVERY site declined heavily. Strange goings on.

This is mainly because more and more people are getting aware of google as best search engine and as a result they are moving to google.
yahoo is now almost used mainly because of mail.

    See attachment from Alexa.

Looks like Yahoo is growing traffic.

I guess you must be an authority as you did not have to include any studies or references etc.

Btw if you do decide to do so, try a worldwide scope rather than just looking at US stats. The US is not the world.

Here's an interesting fact: Google is barely used in South Korea which is probably the most online country in the world in precentage of population. Btw; Here is a reference to my statement - http://www.nytimes.com/2007/07/05/t...1973c6eebc9c&ei=5124&partner=digg&exprod=digg

    yeah man -it's shite :D

We rank 1st place for most of our KW's on Yahoo yet only get 5% traffic compared to Google where we rank just as high

I am in the UK and I conclude that Goog has 85% of UK market, with Yahoo only 10%. (For B2B)

It is a shame as I think Yahoo search is returning pretty good results these days

Na, Yahoo is still no 1 in Alexa and it's reach seems to roughly be similar for the past 5 years. It seems like it's holding it's footing, but maybe not quite in the search part of it.

well market ratio varies in every country but overall the traffic of yahoo is decreasing.
as for authority, nobody except yahoo themselves can tell about their traffic trend.
And mark my word: Everybody else is just making their guesses.

Welcome people and learn how to contradict yourself in just two sentences!

No, you are making unsubstantiated guesses, at least some other people are quoting hard facts and statistics. If you want your opinions to mean anything around here, you should do the same. So, maybe take a step out of the thread if you havent got any valuable input.

Yahoo moved into emails and hosting. SE is not their priority as it earlier was. Or so I think.
