Yahoo seems to be crawling again:

    b100104.yse.yahoo.net - - [05/Feb/2014:20:26:20 +0000] "GET /robots.txt" 200 2551 "-" "Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; Yahoo! Slurp)"

    Confirmed that b100104.yse.yahoo.net = 68.180.224.228 and vice versa. ;)

Now if only Yahoo sent enough traffic to make the bandwidth it's bot uses worth it. :)

Isn't Bing handling search for Yahoo? Why would Yahoo be indexing content?

They still use it for some vertical types of search (like image search).

Yahoo has been still the major search engine in Japan. Up until 2 years ago, the term "google it!" didn't make sense to my friends in Japan. Both my parents and my wife's parents still use Yahoo to surf the web. now with what firefox did, the Japanese community has been satisfied with Yahoo more than ever.

Yahoo is still a pretty major player in the USA too. Google of course has a much higher percentage of searches, but Yahoo seems to be hanging in there and they provide good search results.
