Yahoo Inlinks Count

    How does Yahoo calculate inlinks:

If one one webpage that Yahoo indexes I have 10 backlinks to one of my websites, will each of those count as a separate backlink?

For example, on http://www.academyanswers.com/backlinks.php I have hundreds of backlinks to http://www.forumsecure.com

Will each of those count as a separate backlinks and be counted as such on websites such as DNScoop.com? I am really just trying to boost how many inbound links that DNScoop is saying my website has...

    Thanks in advance.

Yes Yahoo counts every link whether it is on the same website as another link or not. They also seem to include nofollow links and internal links. This is what they show when you type link:www.domain.com anyway. This may not necessarily be what they count towards a site's rankings though. This is just what they choose to show the public.

Oops I totally misread your question...you wanted to know about more than one link on a page, not more than one link on a website. My bad. I'm not really sure about that. I would think it would just count as one link, but if different anchor text is used for the links, you may get boosts for each keyword.

I think once the search engines will crawl that page your site will get penalized from the search engines

academyanswers.com would probably get penalized, but forumsecure.com shouldn't. The search engines do not want to punish a website for something that another site could do to them. The links won't help coming from a page like that though.

I actually didn't check out the page when I originally replied.

It is extremely spammy. It is in your best interest to take down that page asap.

I think the internal links are also important. someday I found that my website increase some internal links and I found that it has a big help to my website.
