I have a website www.example.com and instead of index.html I use index.php and I have setup proper 301 redirects so when you enter www.example.com/index.php or www.example.com/index.html you'd be redirected to www.example.com. Unfortunately, when I search in yahoo it shows www.example.com/index.html (I don't even have that page anymore) and cache shows blank page. How can I make Yahoo index my site properly as it moved me to page 10 as in google I'm on page 1 (bottom though)? Thanks for your help.
He does not have that domain. He just mentioned it as an example. @praetserge- You need to wait for some time. Yahoo takes a long time to update their cache. Try using their webmaster tool if they have any problem with your site
thanks Jollyboy, I thought so as well, as Yahoo's much slower at indexing sites, it's just I was surprised they found non-existent file. I'll see at the end of the month, hope they'll re-index it and my ranking will improve. To: iamnumber0, Gatorade, thank you for your useless comments , Gatorade, you have more than 2000 post and you still come up with something like this?
