Well, that wasn't quite the beginning. Back in 1994, it was hosted on a server at Stanford and was already up to 1200 links (just imagine, ALL of the links back then could be listed on one page! hehe)
I have to agree on this one. I was online from home in 93 with a shell account. BTW I thought Al Gore invented the internet. Actually I was crusing the so called internet from the university I attended back in 87 on a unix account anyone remember those days? I think it was the ol' arapnet ...
