Yahoo hosting blocked FTP while transferring my files to Hostgator

    I had taken Yahoo India website hosting.However I discovered they do not support many features I want on my site.So I am shifting to hostgator India.

    I took backup of 50% of my files before transferring.When I tried taking backup of the remaining 50%,I discovered Yahoo has blocked my FTP.So I cannot shift remaining files on hostgator server now.

    Till now I haven't told yahoo I am shifting to hostgator.I heard many cases where they deleted the entire site without notice,when they came to know that the client is shifting to another host.So I do not want to tell them about this tranfer,till the entire site's backup is taken.

    Now what do I do to get the block on my FTP removed?

    FYI,the names of nameservers on my yahoo domain control panel were changed before this blocking.

    Because you have changed your domain name-server how in the f* FTP would work even?

    Are you trying to do FTP with the website's name or by IP address? You said that your nameservers were recently changed so I recommend trying to FTP connect by IP address.
