We are currently having issues with Yahoo! and we don't really know why it is acting so strange. The site in question is "ssldonkey .co .uk" and was indexed by Google with no problems. 80 pages indexed out of 86 so we are more than happy with that. But with Yahoo its a different story all together. Yahoo! indexed 4 pages instantly, then after a few weeks this increased up to 5 pages and now has dropped right down to 2 pages indexed. The only thing i can think of is that recently the URL was changed from http:// to https:// but could this be the reason? I understand that Yahoo does index sites differently to Google but i have never had this problem before up till now and have indexed lots of sites successfully in to Yahoo. Any help on this would be greatly received as im completely stumped by this. Thanks in advance
Yes http and https are both different URLs. I think Yahoo is not indexing it because of this secure URL.
Thanks for the help guys on this! Are you saying then if we remove the https:// more pages may be ranked within Yahoo! Cheers
