Hi BooBoo, thanks for sharing :)
My site has NEVER been indexed by Y! (lazy bastards :) ), I contacted them a few weeks ago (via the rereview form you posted) about it, got a canned response about being penalized (did you get a canned response?).

I then did all that I could to make sure the site is complient (which I reckon it was before anyhow) and requested a rereview. Been a few weeks now, and still nothing..spider visits daily on some pages (nothing new), but still no crawl. :(

Yahoo crawls my site everyday (creating lots of wated bandwidth), I have over 148,000 pages indexed in Yahoo and I have no SERP the last 4 month.

If your indexed then you probably just need to re-evaluate your SEO strategies.

That is exactly what happened to me. It took almost a month to be reindexed.

If you got rid of all the spam I would guess you will be indexed. Just give some more time.

Woo, 7 pages indexed now (new in the last 12 hour or so)...well at least they are partially indexed:
The new pages (ie.the 6 non index pages just added), aren't showing the title in their blue title link line (rather it is showing the URL), nor are they showing the description text or cache option (and yes I am NOT disallowing cache via any robots.txt file).

So looks like things are improving (but early to tell)...but still thousands of pages yet to be indexed and those indexed still need to be cached obviously.

Scratch that, now back to 1 page indexed, the other pages that were showing up (without cache) have now vanished when doing the site command. Back down to just having the index page indexed and cached.
    :(
BooBoo, did it just magically over night change for you? or did strange things like this happen?

I am still not sure if what I saw was a good sign, as this site has NEVER had more than 1 page show when performing the site: command in Y! - that is up until last Friday (however short lived it was).

[EDIT: Seems to be data center related, as now I just got the 7 results again..so I hope that the DC that returned just the 1 result is out of date, rather than ahead of the pack.

Is there anyway of doing a Y! datacenter check to test the results across the DCs? When I plug in the DC IP address in the URL window it just redirects to search.yahoo.com??]

Very mixed results, now steady back to 7...

Also I notice something new, the bot crw3.vc.search.re2.yahoo.com visiting pages in my site that have no inbound links pointing to them.

Before the Y! bot would only visit pages in my site that had inbound links pointing to them, my homepage plus a few other pages. Of course it only indexed the homepage. Once it arrived at any of those pages it would not crawl the internal links it found.

So now at least it would SEEM that the Y! bot is crawling the occasional page that DOESN'T have inbound links (from external sites) but rather is slowly following the internal link structure.

I'm hoping now that this is the start of my site getting more and more pages indexed in Y! (got a few thousand more that need to be indexed)

    Just an update:
20+ pages indexed now, but with no cache (except for homepage)..

Thigs look like they are on the rise.

    <wishful thinking>
    Y! domination :)

You lucky bastard.. hope things work out.

I am holding steady at about 109 pages, and my homepage has not been updated in almost 10 days so I am a bit nervous. Yahoo did respond to me though and told me there were no problems with my site.

They did mention because my site was offline for a long time (before I bought the domain), that yahoo's refresh wait was set to an extremely long time so it made it much slower to visit and spider.

Thanks, so do I...I've got at least another 2500+ pages still that need to be indexed (and cached).

Glad things are working out for you, hope that bot visits you soon.

My site is still de-indexed, and there is nothing wrong with it. Grumble, grumble, grumble...
